Dr Geoff Markov

Dr Geoff Markov is an experienced rheumatologist with interests in lupus, vasculitis, and general rheumatology. He previously served on the staff at The Royal Melbourne Hospital and Williamstown Hospital since commencing in 1995 and is currently an honorary specialist at NSW Health. He is an honorary lecturer at University of Melbourne, teaching and examining medical students. He also works at the Administrative Appeals Tribunal and is a Deputy Director of the Professional Services Review Agency, both Commonwealth Government bodies and was for many years a panel member for professional standards hearings for the Medical Board in Victoria.

Dr Markov graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1982, and trained in rheumatology in Melbourne and New York City where he undertook a fellowship at New York University Medical Centre. He obtained Fellowship of Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 1994. In 2013 Dr Markov undertook a one year sabbatical working as a rheumatologist in Galway, Ireland and taught medical students at the National University of Ireland.

Dr Markov also works in Williamstown and East Melbourne and has served the people of the western suburbs since 1995.
