Dr Chamila Dabare

MBBS, MD, FRACP

Dr. Dabare is a Rheumatologist with interests in inflammatory arthritis and general rheumatology.
She is a staff Rheumatologist at Western Health, Melbourne, Victoria, since 2015. She is an honorary lecturer at University of Melbourne, Participating in teaching medical students at University of Melbourne and in research at Australian Institute for Musculoskeletal science (AIMSS).

Having being graduated from University of Colombo, SriLanka in 2000, Dr. Dabare completed her advanced training in rheumatology and general medicine and obtained MD in Medicine in 2006. She completed further training in Rheumatology in Australia and obtained fellowship of Royal Australasian college of physicians in 2015. She has extensive experience in working in different communities in Sri Lanka and Australia.

Her main interests are inflammatory arthritis, osteoarthritis and interventional rheumatology including joint injections and suprascapular nerve blocks but has an interest in all general rheumatology issues.

Her vision is to provide complete rheumatological care locally with minimal cost to the patients.
Dr Dabare is willing to contribute to the education of this region’s General Practitioners and Junior Doctors
